Development of large-scale options for the use of green hydrogen based on the grid booster concept to increase grid stability (HydrogREenBoost)
Hydrogen will play a key role in the energy transition and the switch to low-emission technologies. The state of Baden-Württemberg is supporting the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy in the southwest with the “Future Program Hydrogen BW” funding programme. The “HydrogREenBoost” project is one of the funded measures. The objective of the project is to achieve higher capacity utilization and stabilization of the power grid through the combined use of battery storage and hydrogen turbine. The use of an electrolyser combined with a hydrogen storage system is also part of the analysis.
