We congratulate PD Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Gengenbach on his appointment as Extraordinary Professor (apl. Prof.) of the KIT Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Mr. Ulrich Gengenbach is head of the research area System Integration for Components and Systems (SI-CS) and the working group System Integration for printed electronics (SI-PE) at the Institute for Automation and Applied Informatics. He received the Venia Legendi in 2018 after submitting his habilitation thesis Sytemintegration für Mikro- und Nanosysteme. The certificate of appointment as an apl. Professor was presented to Mr. Gengenbach on May 14th, 2023.
