Helmholtz Program Energy System Design (ESD) – Projects – Helmholtz platform for the design of robust energy systems and their supply chains (RESUR)
The Helmholtz platform for the design of robust energy systems and their supply chains (RESUR) is part of the Helmholtz Association's “Zeitenwende” initiatives, which were developed in response to current geopolitical and ecological challenges. The project aims to make Germany's energy supply more sustainable and less dependent on fossil imports. RESUR offers model-based analyses and simulations that help decision-makers to assess the security of supply in critical situations and to design robust energy systems. Models from different areas of electricity, gas and heating networks are integrated. The IAI is represented in work packages 1, 2 and 6 and is responsible for project coordination.
