At the re:publica Campus 2020 in Berlin from September 6 to October 4, 2020 HIDA presents artistic animations and visualizations created by Cologne-based designer Michael Schmitz and based on real data sets. Doctoral researchers from the six Helmholtz Data Science Schools use them to conduct research on topics related to energy, earth and environment, health, key technologies, structure of matter as well as aviation, space travel and transport.
With the “data donation” from their research work, two of our doctoral researchers at the Helmholtz Information and Data Science School for Health (HIDSS4Health) contribute to enabling the artist to create animations and visualizations for access to modern data-driven research.
